• Can I get my custom funeral portrait in time for the service?

  Yes. Your artwork preview is ready within 1-3 days, and any revision requests are answered within 24 hours. If your date is close, choose the digital delivery option and the 24-hour delivery add-on at checkout, and we will upload the finished high-resolution digital file to your Track My Order page as soon as you approve it, with nothing to wait for in the post.

  Printed posters and canvases ship separately and take a further 5-7 days, so order the print early or take the digital file to a local printer.

• What size funeral portrait should I order for the service?

  For a portrait displayed on an easel at the entrance to a service, 16x20" (41x51cm) or 18x24" (46x61cm) reads clearly from across a room. 24x36" (61x91cm) suits a large chapel or a room where it is the main focal point. 12x16" (30x41cm) is the size most families choose to keep at home afterwards.

• What photo should I use?

  Send the clearest photo you have of them, ideally one where their face is well lit and not obscured. A phone photo of an old print works, and so does a scan.

  Old, faded or black-and-white photos are all fine, and so are pictures with other people in them, since we work from just the person you want. If you are unsure whether your photo will work, send it to office@pixelsphotoart.com before ordering and we will tell you honestly.

  If your only copy is a damaged print, here is how to clean an old photograph before you scan it.

• Can I preview the artwork before it is printed?

  Yes. Your artwork preview is uploaded to your Track My Order page within 1 to 3 days of ordering. If you decide to print locally, you will receive a print-ready JPEG at 300 DPI, around 4500 by 5500 pixels. Revisions are answered within 24 hours. We don't stop until you are 100% happy. That's our guarantee!

• How long does the whole process take?

  Your artwork preview arrives within 1-3 days of ordering. Revisions come back within 24 hours. Once you approve the artwork, digital files are emailed straight away, and printed posters and canvases take a further 5-7 days to produce and ship. You can track every stage on the Track My Order page.

• Do you offer revisions?

  Yes. Every funeral portrait comes with unlimited free revisions, and each request is answered within 24 hours. Revisions are free as long as they stay within the photo and instructions you gave with the original order. If you want to change the photo itself or move to a different concept after the artist has started, that may need a new order. Please send revision requests within 48 hours of your artwork proof so we can keep to your service date.

• Can I choose the background?

  Yes. Seven backgrounds are included with every funeral portrait: Sky, Brown, Grey, Marine, Blue, Blossom and US Flag. If you want a specific background of your own instead, add our Change Background add-on to your cart before checking out, and email any reference image to office@pixelsphotoart.com.

• Can I add their name, dates or a short message?

  Yes. Add our Add Text add-on to your cart before checking out and tell us the exact wording, including any dates and how you would like them formatted. It works well for a name with birth and passing dates, a line such as "In loving memory," or a short quotation.

• Can I use the artwork for the obituary, order of service or memorial folders?

  Yes. You receive a high-resolution file you can reuse for the newspaper or online obituary, the order of service booklet, prayer cards and memorial folders, at no extra cost. If you need it at a particular size or resolution for a printer, email office@pixelsphotoart.com and we will send it in the format they ask for.

• Do you work with funeral homes and funeral directors?

  Yes. We can deliver a print-ready file directly to your funeral home, or ship the finished print to the funeral home's address.

  Ask your funeral director to email office@pixelsphotoart.com with the service date and we will work to it. We can use print partners that are local and ship faster.
